Unity Mission Statement

The official mission statement of the Unity Center for Urban Technologies, a high school of approximately 250 students and one of the Department of Education’s smallest communities of learners.

The Unity Center for Urban Technologies exists to provide an excellent education to every student in our small learning community, and to help each student reach his or her academic and career goals.

Our Educational Philosophy

The Unity Center for Urban Technologies is committed to providing excellent education. Our faculty, staff, and administration work together around a single purpose: teaching students well and supporting the goals each of them carries into the classroom, the community, and beyond.

Because our community is small, our faculty, staff, and administration know the students they serve. That closeness shapes how instruction is planned, how progress is monitored, and how students are encouraged to keep moving forward.

Core Values

  • Excellence in teaching — every student deserves rigorous instruction and a teacher who knows their name.
  • Academic and career goals — support for students in reaching the goals they set for their education and their future work.
  • Unity — a shared community of learners, faculty, staff, and administration working toward common outcomes.

Commitment to Diverse Backgrounds

Our students come from diverse backgrounds, and that diversity is treated as a strength. We serve roughly 250 students, and our commitment extends to every family and background represented in our community.

Faculty, staff, and administration are committed to providing excellent education and helping students reach their academic and career goals.
